What makes Bonjuk unforgettable is not only the natural beauty of the place, but what comes alive when people gather here.
Bonjuk Bay may draw people in with its natural beauty, but what makes it unforgettable is the people who give it life.
People arrive from different lives and meet in the same frequency.
We create, celebrate, and grow together — not because we have to, but because it feels natural.
Some come once to experience the bay.
Many return because they find something harder to describe — a sense of belonging, familiarity, and ease that feels increasingly rare in the outside world.
Those who keep coming back often begin calling themselves Bonjukians.
Not because it is an identity, but because it feels like a shared frequency.
If you feel called to share your gift with the community, we would love to hear from you.

Along the Gökova coastline near Marmaris, Bonjuk Bay exists between forest and sea. Nature here is not a backdrop — it is part of how each day breathes. Light shifts slowly. Sound carries differently. Space does something to you.
Curated with labor of love, it was set up with a sense of barefoot luxury — offering comfort, simplicity, and beauty while staying intimately connected to nature.
Here, beach, forest, and farm life exist side by side, shaping a rare rhythm of living that feels both grounded and free.
Set on 2,5 hectares of fertile land with a 200-metre beachfront, the bay offers complete seclusion without sacrificing accessibility.
We are 10 minutes away from the nearest village, 30 minutes from Marmaris and Akyaka, only 1 hour from Dalaman International Airport, and under two hours from Bodrum International Airport.
Remote enough to feel hidden.
Close enough to arrive with ease.
The definition of Luxury in Bonjuk Bay is:
Comfort here is not about excess. It is about having exactly what you need, and nothing that gets in the way.
Bonjuk Bay is designed to function as a fully self-sufficient experience — for guests settling into the rhythm of the bay, and for hosts creating retreats, gatherings, and private events with ease.
To create a space where people could arrive as their authentic selves, reconnect with their inner child, with nature, and with each other — and co-create meaningful, shared experiences.
Not just as guests. But as part of something.
What started quietly in a secluded bay has grown into a living community — one that continues to shape itself with every season, every gathering, every person who shows up.
Bonjuk Bay was founded by Mehmet Mahruki, a lifelong traveler inspired by cultures, communities, and meaningful human experiences around the world.
After experiencing Burning Man in 2008, the feeling of radical self-expression, human connection, and collective creation stayed with him long after he left the desert.
He began questioning why he had to wait for a whole year to experience the open-hearted, non-judgmental, collaborative spirit he found on the “playa” as burners call the Black Rock desert.
That question stayed.
In October 2014, while exploring the coastline near his kitesurfing beach in southern Türkiye, Memo followed a winding road and discovered a secluded bay hidden between forest and sea.
The moment he saw it, he knew this was more than a beautiful bay.
It was the place where he could begin building the community he had imagined — a place for authentic connection, freedom, creativity, and shared transformation.
The official name of the bay is Boncuk, the Turkish word for “bead,” inspired by the colorful pebbles along its shore. With a small twist in spelling, Boncuk became Bonjuk — no longer just the name of a bay, but the beginning of a community, a feeling, and a way of being.
What began as a dream in a hidden bay slowly grew into a gathering place for many like-minded people seeking a more meaningful way to share life.
We chose the spiral as our logo for what it represents: evolution, connection, and the continuous unfolding of life.
Found in nature and across cultures, it reflects a movement inward and outward — between the self and the whole.
For us, it mirrors the journey Bonjuk invites:
from outer noise to inner awareness,
from separation to connection.
Behind Bonjuk Bay is a team of people from different backgrounds, countries, and walks of life — brought together by a shared ethos.
We believe in living and working with purpose. In creating something meaningful together.
In enjoying the process as much as the outcome.
At Bonjuk, work is never just work. It is participation in a living experience. Every meal served, every workshop hosted, every sunset gathering held with care becomes part of what guests feel here. That is why we take ownership in what we do, and whatever we do, we do with love.
Bonjuk Bay is our home.
And the Bonjuk community is our extended family.
We are always open to meeting people who feel aligned with this spirit.
If you believe you can contribute to our core team, we would love to hear from you.
